미국 모히건선, 영종도에 복합리조트 건설

미국의 카지노기업 모히건 선(Mohegan Sun)이 영종도에 1,000실 특급호텔 및 2만석 규모 아레나 등 복합리조트를 건설한다. 영종도에 들어서는 네 번째 대형카지노 복합리조트가 된다.
인천국제공항공사는 21일 오전, 모히건 선社(Mohegan Sun)와 총 50억 달러 규모의 ‘인천국제공항 IBC-Ⅱ지역 복합리조트 투자유치 양해각서(MOU)’를 체결했다고 밝혔다.
올해 초 문화체육관광부는 정부의 ‘제7차 투자활성화 대책’ 발표의 후속조치로서 연내 2개 내외의 카지노 복합리조트 개발사업자 선정을 위해 2월 27일 콘셉트 제안요청(RFC, Request For Concepts)을 공고한 바 있으며, 6월말까지 투자자들의 콘셉트 제안서를 받은 뒤 7〜8월 평가 및 부지선정을 거쳐 11월까지 공식 사업제안서를 접수해 12월에 최종사업자를 선정한다.
